Training Courses
St. George’s offers a wide range of services to support teaching, learning and leadership at all levels. We are an accredited ‘Talk for Writing’ and 'Sounds Write' Training school and can offer training for both of these.
As a school that sits within the highest deprivation factor nationally, we are keen to share what we’ve learned about working in this context and embedding key teaching and learning programmes with anyone who wants to know more.
Other school leaders and teachers come from all over the UK to see our work. We ensure that each visit is carefully tailored to meet the needs of other schools so that there is always excellent impact from our input. We have a full menu of services and we will also try to respond to the individual needs of any school or organisation on request.
St. George’s operates a charge for services and this is strictly not for profit. No member of staff benefits personally from monies coming into school and every penny earned is reinvested in the capacity of the school to deliver this training.
The St. George’s team offer a range of services including observation mornings where teachers can come to St. George’s and watch their practice, visits to your school to support the teachers with their own classes, planning sessions and assessment/moderation support. Our Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and subject leaders offer a variety of training on elements of school and system leadership.
