School Meals and snacks

 

School Meals Termly Prices

Our school dinners are cooked on the premises daily and are available to all children at a cost of £2.90 per day from September 2024 (paid in advance via School Gateway or BACs).

All children from Reception to Year 6 are now eligible for a free school meal. 

Parents will still need to pay for meals for children in Nursery. 

Free school meals

Free school meals are available to pupils receiving, or whose parents are receiving, one or more of the following benefits:

Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)

Income Support

Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance

Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

The guarantee element of State Pension Credit

Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

Children who get any of these benefits directly (instead of through a parent or guardian) can also get free school meals.

 

Special Dietary Requirements

The school kitchen will not be able to offer any change to the menu unless the form above has been completed. 

From September 2023, all children from Reception to Year 6 will receive a universal free school meal. If you are eligible for free school meals based on your income, you will still need to apply for this as it provides other resources for the children as well as lunches.

Packed lunches

Children who have packed lunches will be encouraged to make healthy choices. We ask parents to support us by ensuring that packed lunches contain no sweets, chocolate, crisps, nuts or fizzy drinks.

Dinner money systems

We have an electronic dinner money system.

At the beginning of each half term you must choose whether your child will have school dinners or packed lunches, this must remain the same every day for the half term.
