Family Learning - Reading Guidance
HOMEWORK
Spellings will be sent home each Friday with a spelling quiz the following Friday.
- Practise your number bonds on Numbots and Hit the Button.
- Read the book in your reading folder for 15 minutes a day and get an adult to sign your diary.
- Get an adult to read a library book to you. Have a discussion about what you are reading!
- Practise your weekly spellings by breaking them into their sounds and syllables. Spelling quizzes will be every Friday.
- Have a look at the Year 1 statutory words- how many of them can you spell already? Can you use them in sentences to show that you understand what they mean?

Thank you to all who attended our Family Learning sessions in spring term. We really appreciate your support. We have taken onboard your feedback and are planning the next Family Learning week for summer term.
SINGING PROJECT
Year 1 will perform a collection of songs to the whole school and their parents in the summer term. More details to follow.
